Yaamarra & Yarral is driven by a vision deeply rooted in Indigneous food sovereignty, sustainability, and community well-being. We honour and sustain the 60,000-year-old legacy of Indigenous food systems, while ensuring the people can continue to thrive for another 60,000 years.

This vision is about more than just ecnomic success - it is about reshaping food systems to be more community-focused, sustainable, and health focused.

Yaamarra & Yarral strategically focuses on millet - a widely available, underutilised grain in Australia - as a mainstay revenue-generating product. Revenue generated supports the ongoing development of the native grains industry.

Good Food Done Better - Our Mission

Integrating native grains and millet into Australia's food system presents a transformative opportunity for environmental sustainability and improved human health and wellbeing.  

Our millet, locally sourced directly from family farmers, is stone-milled to retain flavour, nutrition, and freshness.

Purposeful impact

As a profit-for-purpose social enterprise, Yaamarra & Yarral will be investing 50% of our profits into Maal Dhuwi, a purpose-driven, Gamilaraay-led organisation driving systemic transformation in the food system through the principles of Indigenous food sovereignty. We are also helping fund native grain conservation, native grain seed banks, and native grain seed production trials.
